Marc Jonson is a singer songwriter with a vast body of critically acclaimed work dating back to his boyhood days on Long Island, New York. His new album When is being released by the Spanish label Munster Records Summer 2019. Previously his music has been released by Vanguard Records, Not Lame Recording, Radioghost Records, Applehead Recording, and Applehead Films & Records. That disc featured Drew Zingg (Steely Dan), Richard Lloyd (Television) and Wayne Kramer (MC5). Jonson’s 12 In A Room is internationally recognized as a trailblazing effort in the home studio arena and brought comparisons to Todd Rundgren, Nick Lowe and George Martin. Jonson’s studio was a one room flat on Manhattan’s Cornelia Street with a Teac recording device set at the foot of his bed. His music can also be found on the Disney “Finding Nemo” project and other children’s music releases. Jonson’s songs have been recorded by a litany of major artists, including Paul Butterfield, The Roches, The Smithereens, Lucy Kaplansky and a host of other luminaries.
